Village Meeting notes

21 June 01

1) Two confirmed camps were unrepresented. Two confirmed camps showed: 
	Discovery and Orange.  Several undefined camps were represented. 
	Architect showed, Talent coord did not.

2) Village architect pro tem and village coordinator pro tem introduced.

3) Council was formed by represented camps and special service personnel.
	Represented Camps: Orange Kids, Discovery, Mind Control, Church, 
	and Camp Frey.

4) Village name change tabled until next meeting

5) Village theme affirmed as "Rebirth".  Implementational specifics tabled.

6)  Additional special service persons were added and elected by council:
	Architect:  Geo Frey Collins
(to design village structures and maps, provide design assistance to camps)
	Burning Man Liason: Tedward
(contact point to and from Burning Man Central)
	Electrical coordinator: undecided
(to establish power needs, coordinate power distribution)
	Internal information coordinator: PJ (orange kids)
(to handle village communications needs, meeting secretary, listmaster)
	Leave no trace coordinator: undecided (Kaelani S. suggested)
(to establish, coordinate and enforce LNT policies)
	Resource Manager: Randy (orange kids)
(to coordinate village hard resources, needs and surpluses)
	Talent Coordinator: Natalie (OK), with help from Ayoshka and Sita
(to coordinate the main stage performances)
	Treasurer: undecided (several candidates suggested)
(to manage village finances, work credits and purchases)
	Village Coordinator: Tedward {blush}
(to establish contiguous work flow, manage meetings, and stopping the buck)

7) Camp responsibility established in rough terms, decided to table specifics 
	until Treasurer is elected. Each person in village will be responsible 
	for $100 donation in cash. $25 to be delivered by reps, for reps only,
	at next meeting to begin funds. Certain persons providing exceptional 
	work service may be waived the cash donation fees.

8) Council voted to maintain our LSSA space in lieu of moving closer 
	to center camp. Current village size estimated at 76 persons.
	Estimated final size 200 persons. 
	Esplanade territory greatly desired.
	Decided to give camps 1 more week to solidify and submit to village. 
	Open submission will continue until next Thursday.

9) Specific tasks were laid out to Service personnel
	All members are requested to watch for village workspace possibilities
	All members are requested to incite new camps.
	Village discussion list to be forged for further communication

10) Next meeting to be at 1912 Tamarind, Hollywood, CA . 
	Thursday, 28 June 01 at 7pm
